National Theatre Of Scotland Announce Three National Tours

The National Theatre of Scotland is delighted to present national tours of two world premiere productions, directed by John Tiffany and Vicky Featherstone, and the return of an award-winning production.

The Company is always striving to present world class work at venues not visited before. This autumn, The National Theatre of Scotland is delighted to be visiting the historic Alhambra Theatre in Dunfermline for the first time. This will also mark the first time that the Alhambra Theatre has presented a straight drama since 1922.

The House of Bernardo Alba by Federico García Lorca, in a contemporary new version by Rona Munro, directed by John Tiffany, is touring Scotland, visiting Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dunfermline and Dundee. The production is set by Rona Munro in Glasgow's ganglands with an all-female cast including Jo Freer, Louise Ludgate, Siobhan Redmond, Carmen Pierracini and Julie Wilson Nimmo. It runs from September 15 to November 7 2009.

Long Gone Lonesome, created by Duncan McLean and The Lone Star Swing Band and directed by Vicky Featherstone, is touring village halls throughout the Highlands and Islands of Scotland. A musical séance, to conjure up through songs and story-telling, the extraordinary life and times of the legendary Shetland musician Thomas Fraser. It runs from October 6 to 24.

The TEAM and The National Theatre of Scotland join forces again to present the award-winning Architecting, touring to Glasgow, London and Lisbon from October 28.
