Laurene Hope and her company Moving On Theatre, based in High Wycombe, will be performing the Off Broadway show Piaf: Love Conquers All at the Brighton Fringe this year.

Laurene Hope who formed the theatre company to provide great parts for mature actresses said, "Love Conquers All written by Roger Peace, is a beautiful one woman show around the life of Edith Piaf, which takes you on a roller coaster of emotions from start to finish portraying her insatiable need to be loved, her addictions to men, drink and drugs, her breakdowns and obsession with the stage."

The show has been enjoying some great reviews, one from a BAFTA winning director who wrote, "From the minute Laurene Hope enters the stage, she magnetizes the audience while not trying to imitate Piaf but capturing her spirit and becoming her. Laurene displays a great singing voice full of emotion, fabulous comic timing and a very sensitive and accurate performance of the disturbed artist and her accordion playing is a delight".

The show is a montage of Piaf's life, from the first time she fell in love aged 15, to her untimely death at 47, interlaced with her greatest songs; Je Ne Regrette Rein, La Vie En Rose, Milord, and more.
