"An end of life comedy."

Mother is dying slowly, the wait is unbearable, the pressures insurmountable, the thoughts unbelievable. Surely a gesture towards God's bigger plan is needed? Sisters, Stella and Connie may be different from one another but share a common and profound love for their Mother. Can things really continue as they are?

A success at last year's Camden Fringe, this production has galvanized interest from the issues and humour raised within it.

Karen Bartholomew is a British playwright whose work is published with Wireless Theatre and PlaydeadPress. She has been shortlisted for awards with the BBC, Old Vic, Bread&Roses and Blackshaw Theatre. Her work has toured with Bootleg Productions, Motormouse Productions and Bootcamp Theatre will produce 'Spin City' later this year.

Bartholomew's previous work has been described as - 'Her one-woman show is hysterical - Mariella Frostrup and for 'God's Waiting Room' "A brave, and moving piece of writing. Moments of intimacy catch you unawares amid the humour. Beautifully mixing laughs with unbearable pain." - Ruth D'Silva

Tracey Wilkinson has directed Bouncers for (Bruvvers Theatre/Newcastle) God's Waiting Room (Camden Fringe and Rosemary Branch) Assistant Director for Andorra (Northern Stage), Assistant Director for Nomadic Tempest (Caravan Stage Co). Tracey is also a well known television and stage actress - Bad Girls, Our Friends in the North.

Company Information

Motormouse Productions started its work in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival - with Kiss my Honeymoon Lips, a comedy set in a 1970s hairdressers.

In recent times the company has taken a more dramatic shift, blending difficult subjects with humour. Recent productions include How Could She?, Mozart with the Morrisons and Spin City.

This tour is partnered with Macmillan Cancer and the company will be performing a one-off charity performance with all proceeds going to the charity.
