Satirical Diva Melinda Hughes has performed internationally both as a solo artist herself and while performing as a soloist with the Andre Rieu Strauss Orchestra and has two albums to her name, Smoke & Noise and Weimar & Back. She has enjoyed many sell-out shows at Crazy Coqs at Live At Zedel, The Pheasantry in Chelsea, Holders Festival in Barbados, Government House in Bermuda and The Metropolitan Room in New York.

Described by Vanity Fair as 'scandalous and timely' Melinda together with pianist, comedian and composer Jeremy Limb now hosts Tasty Tuesdays at PizzaExpress Live in Holborn and The Pheasantry in Chelsea, which is a monthly eclectic evening of up-to-the-minute cabaret, comedy and song backed by a live jazz trio.

Having enjoyed a hugely successful run at The Edinburgh Festival Fringe this summer with her powerful show, MARGO: Half Woman, Half Beast at The Assembly Rooms, Melinda Hughes is delighted to be performing her show Melinda Hughes: The Satirical Diva at PizzaExpress Live Holborn on 23rd October and 27th November, Crazy Coqs at Live At Zedel in Piccadilly on 6th November and 27th February and The Pheasantry in Chelsea on 5th December.

Special guests who will be appearing on stage with Melinda Hughes include The Mash Report star Rachel Parris, eccentric accordionist and comedian Martin White, Posh Princes of satire Bounder & Cad, comic crooner legend Lenny Beige comedian Robin Morgan, Anna Morris from Channel 4's Lee & Dean and chart-topping Soul singer Alison Limerick, with more special guests to be announced for 2019.

Melinda Hughes says: I'm delighted to have a monthly residency with PizzaExpress Live Holborn where I get to perform some of my favourite satirical songs and invite an eclectic array of hilarious comedians and brilliant singers on stage. I'm also very much looking forward to returning to Crazy Coqs with my own show too.

Melinda Hughes is a graduate from the Maastricht Conservatory of Music and the Royal College of Music. She toured Europe for three years as a soloist with the Andr Rieu Strauss Orchestra. Melinda then went on to sing more than thirty different main operatic roles. As a specialist in Weimar Cabaret, Melinda formed her satirical group Kiss & Tell with co-writer Jeremy Limb, performing at the Al Bustan Festival in Beirut, the Hay Literary Festival, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Cadogan Hall, Holders Festival in Barbados and the Metropolitan Room in New York to name but a few. Her CD Smoke and Noise received rave reviews and they have appeared on BBC Radio 3 many times as well as with Barry Humphries on BBC Radio 4 as part of a special programme about Weimar Cabaret. Melinda will be performing in Barbados this March at the opera and cabaret festival, Cobbler's Live.
