Following 2016's sold out Christmas Special featuring Ed Balls & Alastair Campbell, Matt Forde's critically-acclaimed Political Party returns to London's Leicester Square Theatre for two live festive podcast recordings on Wednesday 6th and Thursday 7th December with house band MP4, the UK's only cross-party political rock band, and some of Westminster's most charismatic and controversial figures.
Joining Matt on Wednesday 6th December are outspoken Conservative Party MP Anna Soubry and former Deputy Prime Minister and leader of the Liberal Democrats, Nick Clegg. On Thursday 7th December, Matt's guest will be Former Mayor of London and Labour MP, 'Red' Ken Livingstone. Both evenings promise to be a raucous end to the wildest year in British politics... yet. Matt Forde's London show, The Political Party, has been a sell-out during its monthly residency at Westminster's The Other Palace for nearly five years. Matt has brought Parliament to life with his stand-up and debate with some of politics' most powerful and notorious figures, including Tony Blair, Jacob Rees-Mogg, Ed Balls, Ruth Davidson, Alastair Campbell, Michael Portillo, Harriet Harman, Nigel Farage, Neil Kinnock, Alan Johnson, Lord Prescott, Jack Straw and Dame Tessa Jowell. The show is also released as a podcast which has amassed over 840,000 downloads on Soundcloud, hit the top spot of the iTunes comedy chart, was picked as the Daily Telegraph's podcast of the week, and was nominated for the Internet Award in the 2015 Chortle Awards.Venue: Leicester Square Theatre
