THE MARLOWE Theatre is one of a handful of venues to welcome the award-winning theatrical spectacular Slava's Snowshow.
Combining hilarious clowning and stunning visual spectacle, it is performed by a world-renowned company of clowns, lead by Slava Poulnin. Influenced by artists such as Charlie Chaplin and Marcel Marceau, Slava has taken clowning out of the world of the circus, and brought it to the theatre.
Audiences enter a joyous, dream-like world, unlike anything they will have seen before. A world in which a cobweb envelops them and one tiny piece of paper begins a heart-stopping blizzard of snow.
Slava's Snowshow, which goes to London's Royal Festival Hall for the Christmas season after its short tour, is the winner of the Time Out, Olivier, and Drama Desk awards for most unique theatrical experience. The show has performed in 120 cities in 30 countries to more than three million people in over 40,000 performances.
Recommended for those aged eight and over, Slava's Snowshow is at The Marlowe Theatre from Tuesday 8 to Saturday 12 October, with evening performances at 7.30pm and matinees on Thursday and Saturday at 3.30pm. Tickets, priced from £14 to £33, are from the Box Office on 01227 787787 or at marlowetheatre.com.
