THE MARLOWE Theatre and The Beaney have once again joined forces to present the third Canterbury Children's Festival.
Taking place at the end of May, in the half-term break, there will be an exciting array of performances, workshops and activities at both venues (plus other city museums), many of which are free.
Highlights at The Marlowe include the shows Captain Flinn And The Pirate Dinosaurs, Pitschi: The Kitten With Dreams, and James Campbell's Comedy 4 Kids (all in The Marlowe Studio). There will be theatre tours, story time, a hunt for Big Blue, the festival's monster mascot, and the chance to have a tea party with him.
The Beaney, Canterbury Roman Museum and Canterbury Heritage Museum host dinosaur, monster art, puppet and costume workshops, and a Clangers outer space trail. Children taking part in the costume workshop will then show their creations in the Big Monster Parade.
Canterbury Children's Festival runs from Saturday 23 to Saturday 30 May. For more details and to book tickets (free events must also be booked), call The Marlowe Box Office on 01227 787787 or go to marlowetheatre.com.
