DISCOVER your favourite comedian at the Alternative Comedy Show at The Marlowe Studio, Canterbury, next month (November).

From the sublime to the ridiculously surreal, this is a night of hilariously entertaining comedy at the cutting edge. This unique show offers audiences the chance to see some of the most exciting, innovative and downright funny comedians on the circuit.

The show, on Thursday 5 November, features two-time Edinburgh Comedy Award-winner John Kearns, Pat Cahill, Harriet Kemsley and Elis James. It contains adult themes and language.

Blues and rock band Nine Below Zero bring their explosive sound to The Marlowe Studio on Saturday 14 November. The definitive line-up of this tightest of live bands has been in place for 18 years, and they play with a discipline that only experience and confidence brings.

After thousands of shows together, this incendiary on-stage chemistry has enabled Nine Below Zero to sell-out venues all over Europe.

Tickets for both shows (which start at 8pm) are from the Box Office on 01227 787787 or marlowetheatre.com.

Tickets for Disco Pigs, the hit Young Vic play, about a lifelong friendship at the moment of its destruction, have sold out (Friday 13 November).

The Marlowe Studio is home to two community productions in November: Tennessee William's classic play Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, presented by The University of Kent's T24 Drama Society, and Godspell, the musical retelling of the life of Jesus, by Phoenix Performing Arts. Tickets are from the Box Office or website.
