Amused Moose Super Saturday, the excellent, top-value, quality-comedy-in-London-tonight, features a great bunch of skillful stand-ups coming direct from Soho's only multi-award-winning comedy club, recommended by TimeOut, and just a few minutes from Kings Cross tube/rail station. The next installment is set for Saturday 27 February 2016.
These monthly, just-after-payday, sellout shows at the iconic WaterRats music/comedy venue, which launched Oasis in London and Bob Dylan in the UK, are hosted by presenter and comedian Joe Bor (Comedian of The Year Finalist, as seen in 'Comedy On Dave'), who introduces a raft of outstanding stand-ups:
- Mark Dolan (C4's Balls of Steel and Sky Movies host)
- Pippa Evans (Showstopper star)
- Chris Washington ("Oodles of warmth & likeability")
- Tom Ward ("Hilarious, impressive, distinctive": EvStandard)
Delight at this intimate 'comedy special' in the humour and mirthmaking of tonight's comedians, most of whom you're likely to know from television/radio, while the others are on the rise around the comedy circuit and Edinburgh Fringe, and on tour at theatres across the country and internationally.
Showtime is 8.30pm until around 10.40, but the venue is open by 6pm for pre-show dinner and drinks with 10% discount on food to comedy-goers on orders before 7.45pm (comedy doors open at 8pm), with dancing aftershow until 1am.
Performances take place at The WaterRats theatre, 328 Grays Inn Road, London WC1X 8BZ (Tube/Rail station: Kings Cross - 4 minutes walk). Admission: £12 Earlybird to £15 LastMinute, includes membership. Comedy room with bar opens at 8pm; showtime 8.30 to around 10.45pm with aftershow bar.
