Mark Bruce Company Brings THE ODYSSEY to The Point Tonight

In The Point's 20th birthday year, Mark Bruce Company returns with a breathtaking stage production of Homer's epic poem THE ODYSSEY.

Now a world-renowned and multi award-winning company, Mark Bruce Company brings its newest touring show, the stunning THE ODYSSEY, to The Point tonight and tomorrow, 27th and 28th April.

The King, Odysseus, separated from family for ten years of brutal war, faces another ten year struggle returning home as a reckless God drags him on a journey across oceans to strange lands and the darkness beyond. Immortal beauties, shape shifters and monsters guide and torment the king as he hurtles towards a savage and desperate reunion with his Queen.

This epic contemporary re-working, spun from an ancient myth, contains universal themes, told here through a dance-theatre and horror and fantasy fusion, alongside a macabre humour that makes this a rounded show perfect for everyone aged 14 and up. Mark Bruce explores how we face our mortality and the Gods inside us.
