Emerging interdisciplinary theatre company Magic Maverick show Moonshine's Entirely Necessary Adventure is playing in Brighton for the first time today 20th June.

Following the story of Moonshine, a girl with silver skin the story explores gender roles in fairy tales. Moonshine quests through a magical land to find out why she is silver meeting wolves, witches, mermaids and pirates who are not always what they seem. Fusing live original music, poetry with influences of cabaret this unique show will stay with audiences young and old for a long time.

Magic Maverick are an emerging theatre company from London who use theatre to give voice to those who have historically been denied one. Presenting a playful world where gender is fluid and rules are made to be broken their work aims to inspire, challenge and be open to everyone. Founded by Artistic Director Molly Pharo following her apprenticeship at Battersea Arts Centre the company is an eclectic mix of young performers who are Emerging and Associate Artists at the Roundhouse.
