Now on its fifth and final UK tour, the smash-hit touring show, Miss Nightingale The Musical comes to Coventry from Tues 9 - Sat 13 Feb featuring a cast of multi-talented performers.

Set during the Second World War, Miss Nightingale - The Musical follows the struggles of a feisty northern singer Maggie and her refugee songwriter George. Both want to find their big break, but while she longs for the glitz and glamour of the stage, he holds a much darker secret...

A blossoming romance between George and a wealthy club promoter threatens to ruin everything in a time when being gay was not just illegal, but seen as dangerously unpatriotic.

Packed with hilarious, tongue-in-cheek cabaret numbers and beautifully tender ballads from award-winning theatre composer Matthew Bugg (Black Coffee, Some Like It Hotter), Miss Nightingale - The Musical brings the on-stage glamour and off-stage affairs of war-torn London thrillingly to life in a feel good show about love, loss and hope.

Returning to the Belgrade Theatre this Spring in the role of Maggie/Miss Nightingale is Clara Darcy, who was last seen on the Belgrade Theatre stage inPropaganda Swing and the UK Touring production of Brassed Off. Clara will also be playing trumpet in the show. She will be joined on stage by a talented cast of actor-musicians which include Nick Coutu-Langmead Frank (banjo and ukelele), Conor O'Kane as George (piano), Christopher Hogben as Tom (drums and percussion), Tobias Oliver as the Waiter (double bass) and Matthew Bugg as Harry Brown (writer and composer, MD, piano, saxophone, clarinet, ukelele and violin).
