MAMMA MIA!, BEAUTIFUL, and More Part of Sheffield Theatres' Exciting New Season

Sheffield Theatres has announced an array of exciting smash-hit productions for the forthcoming season, including West End hit musical Beautiful The Carole King Musical, the reunion of Hollywood stars Ali MacGraw and Ryan O'Neal in acclaimed Broadway play Love Letters, EastEnders Rita Simon in Legally Blonde plus news that global phenomenon MAMMA MIA! is visiting the city on its first ever UK tour.

Tickets for the productions go on sale to Sheffield Theatres' Centre Stage Members on Saturday 18 March and to the general public on Saturday 25 March.

Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus' sensational feel-good musical MAMMA MIA! opens at the Lyceum Theatre on Tuesday 27 February (until Sat 17 March). An enchanting tale of family and friendship, told through the magic of ABBA's timeless songs. Over 60 million people world-wide have fallen in love with the characters, the story and the music. Don't miss the chance to see it for the first time in Sheffield.

Olivier Award-winning high energy musical Our House comes to the city from Monday 14 - Saturday 19 August and features the songs of Madness. Penned by Tim Firth, the writer of Calendar Girls, Kinky Boots and This Is My Family, this witty, vibrant production stars Linda Nolan. Grease is the word from Monday 18 - Saturday 23 September when The Wanted's Tom Parker drives his T-Bird into town along with Over The Rainbow winner Danielle Hope, as Sandy and EastEnders' Louisa Lytton as Rizzo. Later, in the autumn, Rita Simons (EastEnders) takes to the Lyceum stage in Legally Blonde The Musical from Monday 30 October - Saturday 4 November, Caroline Flack joins fellow Strictly Come Dancing champion Tom Chambers in the Gershwin classic Crazy For You (Tuesday 7 - Saturday 11 November) while the new year sees the return of Hairspray (Monday 29 January - Saturday 3 February).

Following a critically-acclaimed Broadway run and sell-out US Tour, Hollywood legends and stars of classic film Love Story, Ali MacGraw and Ryan O'Neal are reunited in celebrated playwright A.R. Gurney's enduring romance about first loves and second chances Love Letters, from Monday 23 - Saturday 28 October.

The story of a music icon is told in Beautiful The Carole King Musical. Tracing the rise of talented schoolgirl to singer song-writing superstar, the show stops off at the Lyceum from Tuesday 6 - Saturday 10 February and features a host of favourite hits from the 60's and 70's including It Might As Well Rain Until September, (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman and I Feel The Earth Move.

Younger audiences are invited to follow the incredible story of one piglet's rise to stardom in Babe, The Sheep-Pig (Tuesday 25 - Saturday 29 July); go on a mind-expanding Jurassic dino-mite adventure to Dinosaur World (Monday 21 - Wednesday 23 August) and families can take a trip Around the World in 80 Days from Tuesday 26 - Saturday 30 September.

Northern Ballet bring their new production of Hans Christian Anderson's The Little Mermaid from Tuesday 28 November - Saturday 2 December. The heartbreaking story of the mermaid who gives up everything she knows, for love and the desire to gain a human soul.

The Studio Theatre plays host to a series of one-night shows; Life By The Throat (Tuesday 16 May), the story of one man's life, written and performed by a woman; hilarious and heart-wrenching Every Brilliant Thing (Wednesday 17 May); Edinburgh Fringe hit They Built It. No One Came (Tuesday 23 May) and tender and honest boy-meets-girl story Tell Me Anything (Thursday 25 May).
