Secret Theatre is a bold new season of work being developed at the Lyric Hammersmith over a number of months by a resident company of twenty artists. Led by the Lyric's Artistic Director Sean Holmes, the season presents the actors, writers, directors, designers and dramaturgs with a unique opportunity to interrogate and challenge the way in which British theatre is made.

During the year, the Lyric will undergo extensive building work as part of its £16.5 million capital project - including the addition of the Reuben Foundation Wing (a two-storey extension enabling the theatre to further its dynamic work with young people and provide more facilities for the community) and the first major facelift for the existing building in 30 years. Determined to continue its commitment to producing pioneering work, the Lyric has created this ambitious response; a Secret Theatre at the heart of a building site.

The productions, a mixture of classics, new writing and adaptations, will open throughout the season and each new show will contribute to a growing repertory of plays. In the spirit of secrecy no titles will be announced.

The company includes ten actors: Nadia Albina; Hammed Animashaun; Leo Bill; Cara Horgan; Charlotte Josephine; Adelle Leonce; Katherine Pearce; Billy Seymour; Sergo Vares and Steven Webb, and is completed by ten creatives: Sean Holmes (director); Ellen McDougall (director); Caroline Bird (writer); Joel Horwood (writer); Arinze Kene (writer); Hayley Squires (writer); Hyemi Shin (designer); Lizzie Powell (lighting designer); Nick Manning (sound designer) and Simon Stephens (dramaturg).

Dates currently booking until Saturday 09 November 2013. Times 7.30pm (double bill Show 1 & Show 2 at 3pm Saturday 09 November). Tickets £15. Bookings 020 8741 6850 / www.lyric.co.uk.
