Following two West End seasons, an international tour and ten years captivating audiences across the UK, Andrew Lloyd Webber's and Tim Rice's musical masterpiece Evita heads out on a new UK tour in 2018, arriving at the Belgrade Theatre 25-29 September.

Presented by Bill Kenwright productions, this lavish staging sees the world-renowned show reimagined by a talented cast, led by three major West End stars.

Taking on the title role will be Lucy O'Byrne, whose incredible vocals wowed Coventry audiences earlier this year with her star turn in Bill Kenwright's The Sound of Music. Having risen to fame after reaching the finals of The Voice UK in 2015, O'Byrne went on take up the role of Fantine in the West End production of Les Miserables as well as playing Maria in two UK tours of The Sound of Music. This is her first time performing in Evita.

Joining her as her on-stage husband, the Argentine dictator Juan Péron is Mike Sterling (The Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables), alongside Oscar Balmaseda as Magaldi and Cristina Hoey as Mistress. Known for his roles in the stage and screen productions of Jesus Christ Superstar as well as Les Misérables, award-winning West End leading man Glenn Carter also takes on the role of the revolutionary Ché.

Completing the cast in ensemble roles will be Emmanuel Alba, Verity Burgess, Callum Fitzgerald, Riva Grant, Samuel John Humphreys, Bethan Jacks, Joe McCourt, Benjamin McMillan, Chrissie Perkins, Oliver Slade, Chris Stoddart, Mike Ward, Kirsty Whelan, and Yuval Zoref.

Evita tells the moving true story of Eva Péron, actor and wife of the former Argentine director Juan Péron, who ultimately came to be heralded as the spiritual leader of her nation. Boasting more than 20 major awards and an Oscar-winning film adaptation starring Madonna and Antonio Banderas, Evita remains one of the best-loved stage musicals of all time, featuring instantly recognisable songs such as Don't Cry for Me Argentina, On This Night of a Thousand Stars, You Must Love Me and Another Suitcase in Another Hall.

Evita is composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber with lyrics by Tim Rice, and is directed by Bob Tomson and Bill Kenwright. Design is by Matthew Wright, sound design is by Dan Samson and choreography is by Bill Deamer.
