We live in an age when no-one has time. Average viewers spend 3 to 7 minutes on an internet video. Advertisers get whole stories into 30 seconds. Hamlet thought brevity the soul of wit, the Japanese that haiku was the highest form of art.

During five nights in December; LOST Theatre will be showcasing forty of the UK's most talent innovative companies on one stage.

Ten companies per night will battle it out with five minute pieces designed to entertain a sell-out live audience; an industry panel and online viewers at home. Only ten companies can make it to the Grand Final where one will crowned winner.

The artistic content of the Festival will cover a wide range of disciplines within the live, visual arts including dance, theatre, spoken word, poetry, physical theatre, ensemble work and devised work from some of the UK's most exciting new talents. LOST is committed to ensuring that the Festival has a balanced, inclusive programme to offer something for everyone.

This is the sixth year that LOST is presenting this growing Festival - with a bigger and better reaction than ever last year they are confident that this year the competition will be better than ever.

LOST is also teaming up with award winning company Wireless Theatre to provide online recordings of the entire festival and the ability for people watching at home to get involved through an online audience vote.
