Local Young People Take Over The Stage At Theatre Royal Stratford East

Theatre Royal Stratford East today announces that local schools and colleges will take over the building in Donate our Stage, beginning today and runs until the 2 February. This initiative will see over 130 students and teachers take over the stage for a week. Participants will work with professional theatre staff to get their hands on the lighting board, sound equipment and work with directors in the rehearsal rooms. This opportunity extends Newham's Every Child's a Theatre Goer free ticket offer for schools; giving students even more insight into the process of making theatre.

In addition, One Night Only! on 24 February will see the Theatre Royal Stratford East Youth Theatre and their recent alumni take the spotlight in an evening of theatre, song, poetry, dance and rap.
