Brand new musical comedy play Seriously Dead is leaving audiences up and down the country in fits of laughter. With rave reviews and only a few weeks until it plays at The Epstein Theatre on Friday 23rd June, there has never been a better time to book.

This 'dead funny' show features an all-star cast including Liverpool's very own Benidorm star Crissy Rock as the bereaved but hard-hearted Betty and plays the sex bomb to the hilt as a "tart without a heart!"

Liverpudlian through and through, Crissy is by turns outrageous, mesmerising and incredibly funny. Best known for playing the hilarious Solana manageress Janey York in ITV's Benidorm and for her appearance in the 2011 series of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, she returns to her hometown stage for one night only with Seriously Dead, the play she co-wrote with Leah Bell.

Leah Bell plays the hilarious and disgruntled little angel Thelma Henderson who arrives at The Pearly Gates only to be told that she cannot get in! Everyone has a number for entry and she has arrived ahead of schedule so her number is not up... Well not yet anyway! She is also informed that as the entry system has now gone digital, there would be no way to simply "Let her in without the correct paperwork."

She must go and wait at the nearest pick-up point - the scrap yard gates near the café of her childhood sweetheart and unrequited love, Billy Blenkinsopp. Billy is played by British Comedy Award Winner Billy Pearce who with great fun, brings touching sincerity to the role and spot on comedy timing!

Completing the cast, Frazer Hines will try and charm his way out of getting caught as scurrilous bank robber Albert Blunderstone and Paul Dunn plays the flamboyant undertaker Tristan de Winter who will have audiences laughing at the most inappropriate of times.

Finally, Andrew Dawson also pops up throughout the play in various guises, including the deceased Edna Blunderstone complaining about her own funeral arrangements and assisting with the movement of her own coffin.

Watch the comedy unfold, as all the characters' lives become inextricably linked on a path leading them all towards the newly digitalised Pearly Gates.

Theatre manager, Rebekah Pichilingi, said: "We are delighted to welcome Crissy Rock to The Epstein Theatre and even more pleased that she has bought an entire play with her! Seriously Dead promises to be one of the city's highlights of the month, so don't miss out... Book today!"

Written by Leah Bell and Crissy Rock with original music by Mike Redway.
