TAKE PART! FOR KIDS AND TEENAGERS
SATURDAY PUPPET CLUB

Age 5-10 yrs

Our most popular club. See a performance of ‘Cindermouse' before undertaking a 9 week challenge to create your own puppets and develop a short play. The term ends with a show for friends and family. SPC has two age groups - 5 to 7s, 8 to 10s.

Dates, Times & Tickets: 26 Sept - 5 Dec (no class 31 Oct - ½ term)

Saturdays, 9.45 - 11.00am (all ages) or 11.30 am - 12.45 pm (8-10s only)

£80 / £55 concession (including show ticket)

 

CRAFTY KIDS

Age 2-5 yrs and their carers

See a performance of ‘Cindermouse' in the first week, then spend the following 7 weeks on 'crafty' activities, songs and games linked to the show including some simple puppet making.

Dates, Times & Tickets: 26 Sept - 21 Nov (no class 31 Oct - ½ term)

Saturdays: 9.45am - 11.00am or 11.30am - 12.45pm
£90 per carer & child pair / £65 concession (including show ticket)

 

PUPPET ACADEMY: Professional Puppetry Taster Sessions

Age 11-15 yrs

Learn puppetry performance techniques and get the chance to work with some of Little Angel Theatre's collection of puppets, plus puppet making and object animation. Fantastic preparation for our ‘Puppet Academy Theatre Company' starting after half term, or a stand alone introduction to puppetry.

Dates, Times & Tickets: 3 -24 Oct (4 weeks)
Saturdays 11.30am to 12.45pm

Puppet Academy Theatre Company

Age 11-15 yrs

An amazing opportunity to be part of our SUSPENSE festival as audience and performer. Inspired by seeing a professional show the company will plan, design, make and rehearse a show for performance as part of SUSPENSEION festival in March.

Dates, Times & Tickets: 7 Nov - 27 Feb (break for Christmas)

Saturdays 11.30am to 12.45pm

KIDS FUN DAYS (HALF TERM)

Age 5-11 yrs

Top quality half-term fun. See a performance of Cindermouse in the morning and then create your own puppet in the afternoon, guided by our experienced professional leaders.

Wednesday 28 October and Thursday 29 October, 10.30am - 4pm

Cost: £45 per person / £30 concessions (includes seeing the show)

ADULT PUPPET CLUBS

For age 16 and over - each course begins by seeing a show, meeting the cast and taking a backstage tour.


Adult Beginners Puppet Club
This is a puppetry course for all those who are interested in learning basic puppetry skills. Designed for absolute beginners, you will work with professional puppeteers to explore a variety of different puppet forms, make a simple puppet and learn the basics of puppet manipulation.

Dates, times and tickets: 29 Sept - 8 Dec (no class 27 Oct ½ term)

Tuesdays 7.30 - 9.30 pm
Cost: £160 / £110 concession


Adult Puppet Makers Club
This is a puppetry course for all those who are interested in developing puppetry making skills. Work with a professional puppet maker to create a puppet of your own. This term participants will make a Czech style four stringed fully articulated marionette.
Dates, times and tickets: 30 Sept - 9 Dec (no class 28 Oct ½ term)

Wednesdays 7.30 - 9.30 pm
Cost: £160 / £110 concession

Adult Puppet Performers Club
This is a puppetry course for all those who are interested in developing puppetry performance skills. Work with a professional puppeteer/director to explore puppet manipulation, creating a short puppet piece for performance. This term participants will learn the art of performing with table top and glove puppets.
Dates, times and tickets: 30 Sept - 9 Dec (no class 28 Oct ½ term)

Wednesdays 7.30 - 9.30 pm
Cost: £160 / £110 concession

INSET training for KS1 & 2
For teachers and workshop leaders - simple puppet making plus practical ideas for helping children manipulate their puppets. This takes place at Little Angel Theatre. Wednesday 21 Oct, 4-6pm (£25 per person)
