Ms Glick, a sassy and seasoned redhead, takes her audience on a joyous musical and emotional adventure, drawing from own past experiences as a former NYC Jr. HS teacher of French and Spanish. The song list includes original material co-written with her longtime NYC Musical Director
Ian Herman, as well as contemporary songs by
Randy Newman, Aaron Neville and iconic classics by
Cole Porter,
Noel Coward and
Peggy Lee.
Linda Glick is a NYC born and bred actress/singer who works in Theatre, Film and TV. Her career began in Cabaret rooms all over NYC: Les Mouches, Reno Sweeney,
The Duplex, the Triad, Judy's, Sweetwater's and so many others. She built a large and loyalfollowing that was strengthened by her palpable appeal to gay audiences who reveled in her humor and poignancy. GLICK'S programs lean towards contemporary and European songwriters and performers.
Her multi-faceted career has taken her around the world with one-woman shows and concerts. An 11th hour booking at La Chansonette, where she performed all foreign language material, jumpstarted her career. She was discovered and signed by two European promoters who placed her in management. That led to performances at the Rainbow Grille as well as alternating between gay cabarets, bath housesand the conventional circuit, including top flight Resorts, Atlantic City and luxury liners. In Washington, D.C., she opened for the late
Peter Allen and headlined at the Gay Pride Day celebrations there.
Recently, she has played major rooms including Feinstein's 54Below, NYC. She starred as Mrs. Brice in 2 Regional Productions of FUNNY GIRL. On screen, in addition to leading roles in several shorts and independent films, Linda was directed by Madonna in "W.E." and she played
Nancy Pelosi in HBO's "Too Big To Fail", directed by Curtis Hanson (LA Confidential). Most recently sheappeared in "The Incredible
Jessica James", an Independent Feature Film, directed by Jim Strouse.
