Lazarus Theatre Company has announced the company for our forthcoming production of Middleton's decadent thriller, The Revenger's Tragedy.

Returning to the company to play the anti-hero, Vindice, is Lazarus Associate, Lewis Davidson. Lewis' previous Lazarus credits include, Edmund in King Lear, Jupiter in Dido Queen of Carthage, Oliver in As You Like It, Duke Alba in Don Carlos and Banquo in Macbeth.

"He (Vindice) is an exciting and unusual character. He can be viewed as hero or a villain, it will be interesting to see which side prevails" Lewis Davidson on playing Vindice."It's wonderful to be working with Lazarus Theatre Company again. The way they approach classical text is so exciting and energetic that I can't wait to delve into the Revenger's world and share this story. It is absolutely unapologetic, revelling in its self-awareness, with a macabre lunacy that will be thrilling to explore." Paula James on returning to the company.

Also returning to the company, Paula James plays the roles of Gratiana / Duchess. Paula's previous Lazarus credits include Helena in Hecuba, Clytemnestra in Electra and Salome? in The Tragedy of Mariam. Tom Jobson returns after his performance as Catesby in Richard III to play the role of The Duke and Joe Mott and Liam Steward-George return after playing Balthazar and Lorenzo in our 2013 production of The Merchant of Venice to play the roles of Spurio and Lussurioso respectively.

Making their Lazarus debut, as Hippolito - Alex Di Cuffa, Castiza - Elle Banstead-Salim, Ambitioso - Alexandra Reynolds, Supervacuo - Jamie O'Neil, Junior Brother - Joseph Paul Wakelin and Antonio is played by Samuel Freeman. The production is Adapted and Directed by Gavin Harrington-Odedra
