Griffith steps into this role after working as business consultant to the organisation for 2 years. Her previous consultant and freelance clients have included Hampstead Theatre, Young Vic Theatre, 2000Black, KLV Foundation, Hogarth Productions, Michael Edwards Studio Theatre on the Cutty Sark Ship, and Triforce Creative Network.
She will work alongside co-founders, Artistic Director Justin McKenzie and Project Director Adam Moses to support and grow the Jazz re:freshed portfolio.
Griffith said, "I am excited to be working in one of the most forward thinking Jazz tastemaker organisations in the UK. Jazz re:freshed has some of the most culturally diverse audiences I've seen at Jazz events in the UK and I look forward to contributing to building and securing the organisation's and the genre's future.
Co-founder and Project Director Adam Moses says, "Yvette has already supported the organisation in securing Arts Council England National Portfolio status and securing funds to enable our 2-year Jazz re:freshed Outernational project. We are thrilled to have her join in a more permanent capacity and continue to support our organisational growth'.
Jazz re:freshed
Jazz re:freshed has grown from delivering a live weekly music event in Notting Hill every week of the year since 2003, to expanding into organising an annual festival JAZZ RE:FEST and supporting festivals including Glastonbury, SXSW and AFROPUNK Internationally.
Jazz re:freshed runs DJ club nights, is developing a record label, produces an annual magazine, has an apparel range, a seasonal film club supported by BFI & Film Hub London and delivers RE:PRESENT, its band development and education programmes in schools, colleges and universities.
Jazz re:freshed has numerous growing partnerships including Roundhouse, Breakin Convention, British Underground & Jazz Cafe and have recently launched a 2 year programme to support the international promotion of the most exciting UK progressive Jazz.
