Following a hugely successful run in London's West End and Berlin, a recent record breaking sell-out tour in the Netherlands and a current 5 month summer run in Palma, Majorca, Daddy Cool makes a welcome return to the UK this autumn for its first ever UK tour.
The original feel-good disco musical, Daddy Cool, will open in Northampton on Tuesday 9 October and will star Jane McDonald as Ma Baker and Sheila Ferguson as Pearl.
Young Sunny comes to London from Jamaica as a boy with his head filled with dance and music. After meeting a young Rose on his arrival, years later a dance competition brings them back together again, but with it an old conflict between their mothers (Pearl & Ma Baker) - centred around the local king of dance 'Daddy Cool' and which threatens the growing love between Sunny and 'Rose. But with a little magic and lots of great music, there's a pretty good chance that love will find a way....
In an all-new light, sound and dance-driven production, Daddy Cool brings you the toe-tapping beats of Boney M, Milli Vanilli, No Mercy, Eruption and La Bouche, with world-wide smash hits including Sunny, Mary's Boychild, Rasputin, Brown Girl In The Ring, Ma Baker, Girl I'm Gonna Miss You, Girl You Know It's True, Sweet Dreams, I Can't Stand The Rain, Daddy Cool and more!
