The Islington Community Theatre will celebrate its first birthday with the production of One Year On, a theatrical spectacle that showcases 75 participants in 8 new plays - and just 24 hours in which to launch them.

One Year On begins on October 26 with company members coming together to work with professional theater makers in the fastest, most chaotic and exciting rehearsal period of their lives.

By 7pm on Tuesday, October 27, all 75 young people will perform their new plays onstage at the Pleasance Theatre, helping to raise money to enable Islington Community Theatre to work with even more young people in 2010 and beyond.

Tickets are £5 and can be purchased by calling 020-7609-1800, clicking here, or in person at the Pleasance Theatre Box Office.

Since the Islington Community Theatre was founded in October 2008, they have worked with over 1,000 young people through numerous projects, productions and other activities. Islington Community Theatre was set up to run Islington Youth Theatre and to create new participative arts activities for people - young and old - across the borough. They are a small member-led charity and rely on links with arts organisations, schools, businesses, charities and individuals to continue to develop their work. For more information click here.
