Faust meets Baseball in the FRINGE PREMIERE of the classic Broadway musical. As middle-aged baseball fan Joe Boyd trades his soul to the Devil in order to help his favourite baseball team beat the New York Yankees, hell literally breaks loose. Transformed into baseball sensation Joe Hardy, he takes the Washington Senators to new heights whilst discovering the true worth of the life he was so quick to leave behind.

From song writing duo Adler and Ross (the team behind 'The Pajama Game') this memorable score features 'Whatever Lola Wants', 'Shoeless Joe', 'Who's Got the Pain?' and 'Heart'. This Tony Award winning musical is brought to the London fringe in an exciting new form by Imperial Productions.

Damn Yankees will run at the Brockley Jack Studio Theatre tonight, 1 April to Saturday 12 April. Curtain time is 7:45pm except for Saturday matinees at 2:45pm.

Tickets are £14 with £11 concessions and can be purchased online at www.brockleyjack.co.uk.

Damn Yankees won the Tony Award in 1956 for Best New Musical. Written by the team behind 'The Pajama Game', the original production ran for 1,019 performances on Broadway. The first London production was in 1957, and it later revived at London's Adelphi Theatre in 1997. This will be the first production of the musical on the London fringe.

Dom O'Hanlon's recent directing credits include: I Love You Because (Technis) The Wild Party (Lost Theatre); How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (Bridewell); The Olympic Journey (Jermyn Street); The Fix (Winterflood); The Importance of Being Earnest (Site specific); Into the Woods (Bloomsbury); West Side Story (Bloomsbury); and A Chorus Line (Garage). His production of Into the Woods was selected to perform at the Sunday Times NSDF 2010, where it was personally supported by Stephen Sondheim. He worked as Assistant Director on the London revival of Assassins (Pleasance) as well as Just Another Love Story (Brighton Fringe).

The cast of Damn Yankees will feature Liam Christopher-Lloyd (Joe Hardy); Paul Tate (Applegate); Charlotte Donald (Lola); Jenny Delisle (Meg Boyd); Rachel Lea-Gray (Gloria Thorpe); James Lorcan (Van Buren); Kevin Sherwin (Rocky); Daniel Mack Shand (Smokey); Adam Samuel-Bal (Sohovik); Joe Leather (Henry); Nathan Benson (Linville); Jayne Ashely (Sister); Vicki Mason (Doris); Heidi Gowthorpe (Lynch); and Rosie Bennett (Ms Weston). The production features choreography by Becky East, music direction by Sarah Burrell, and lighting design by Dan Husbands.
