Tori Allen-Martin and Liam Doyle in AFTER THE TURN.

Interval Productions was established in 2009 by Tori Allen-Martin (who was joined by Sarah Page in 2011), the company was set up to provide a platform for new talent, who would work alongside more established artists, and also to create what they see as relevant theatre; 'Theatre that represents our generation. With characters that we recognise, in ourselves or in those around us, who speak our language, talk like we do and face issues we face, with songs that sound like the music we download. 'Musical Theatre' makes some people switch off, they think it's dated and that it doesn't represent them and we want to change that, we're not about alienating theatre lovers, we're theatre lovers, but we believe there is space for change, and we want to bring a new audience into the theatre too.' explains Tori Allen-Martin.

In the past two years alone, Interval Productions have produced four musicals on the London fringe scene. Three of which were entirely original pieces.

They are currently nominated for eight awards (Offie Awards, Broadway World Awards and West End Frame) for two of their original pieces 'Streets' and 'Another Way'. Interval are thrilled that these two shows are currently going head to head in the Offies as the only two competitors so far in the 'Best New Musical' category.

Interval Productions have received critical acclaim from publications such as The Stage and What's on Stage and many a celebrity has jumped on the bandwagon, with Stephen Fry called After The Turn 'stunning' and Another Way 'Damn Good', whilst Idris Elba, Kimberley Wyatt and JLS all took to Twitter to advise their followers to get a ticket for Streets.

Now Interval Productions have decided to give audiences a chance to see selections from all of their pieces under the same roof at The Cockpit Theatre on Sunday February 9th, featuring as many original cast members as possible, and of course some new talent, as always.

Included pieces are After The Turn, book by Sarah Henley, featuring songs by Tim Prottey-Jones; vocal selections from Jonathan Larsons' RENT; as well as scenes and songs from Another Way, (songs by Benedict); and Streets (songs by Finn Anderson), with both books by Tori Allen-Martin and Sarah Henley (OFFIE nominated for Most Promising Playwrights for 'Streets').

Most of the original casts are returning for this one off event, including a full house for original pop- rock musical 'After The Turn' which was nominated for a 2012 Broadway World Award for Best Fringe or Regional Musical. Liam Doyle, Ashleigh Gray, Tori Allen-Martin, Greg Oliver, Stephen Rolley and Steven Webb will all return to play the roles they originated.

Interval are in desperate need of funds to continue their work and so this piece which they have named 'Interval So Far' will act as a fundraiser for the company, and they have taken to crowd funding site WeFund to ask loyal supporters to donate pledges for various perks.
