The programme has been announced for PUSH 2016, a new annual festival presented in the intimate environment of HOME's Theatre 2 space. Evolving from the highly successful annual Re:play Festival, which had become one of the key events in the city's theatre calendar, PUSH offers audiences the chance to immerse themselves in two weeks' worth of extraordinary theatrical experiences, some never seen before in the city, and some that demand to be seen again.

Join their rollercoaster journey through selfies, celebrity culture, self-esteem, heart to hearts, and dancing to your favourite song. What's The Matter With You? is a joyous, poignant, and thought-provoking new performance which sets out to tackle the big bad world of mental health.
"I am delighted to be able to include PUSH in our theatre programme and it is particularly pleasing that our Theatre 2 space will be hosting the festival," says Walter Meierjohann, Artistic Director: Theatre at HOME.
"I discovered pretty quickly after first arriving in the city nearly two years ago that Manchester is home to wide and diverse range of first-rate theatre companies, and having worked across Europe, I can confirm that Manchester's theatre ecology is something quite special. We are committed at HOME to showcasing the best of the companies' work, so it fits neatly that we are able to offer our facilities and production expertise to some of those companies."
Wrapped around a packed performance schedule will be a range of workshops and discussions led by the participating companies and leading theatre makers from around the country.
Tickets for the festival, including a range of offers and a pass covering the entire festival, are on sale now - http://homemcr.org/event/push-festival/
