Giant Olive Theatre Company in association with Simon James Collier is presenting Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens adapted for the stage by Piers Beckley. This critically acclaimed production of Charles Dickens' classic "Oliver Twist"?today announced a two-week extension to its record-breaking run at The Lion and Unicorn Theatre in north London. Originally scheduled to end its run on January 10, the production will now play additional dates from January 12 - 24.

Oliver Twist features the same creative team behind last year's critically acclaimed production of A Christmas Carol, which had to extend its run twice because of high demand.

Oliver Twist, an orphan born into poverty in a Victoria workhouse, embarks on a journey to find his true identity, a search that involves passion, violence, sadness and joy. When brutal Fagin makes a deal with a stranger to steal Oliver Twist's birthright by leading the young lad into a den of iniquity and corruption, Fagin has no idea that it will lead to his own destruction...

The production is directed by Ray Shell, assistant directed by Dollie Henry, designed by Andrea Hooymans, lighting designed by Cairan Cunningham, costume designed by Neale Pirie, and produced by George Sallis.
