Gardner and Wife Theatre presents Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus September 30-October 19. This stage adaptation of six-time Emmy Award-winner Mo Willems' best-selling book by Big
Wooden Horse Theatre Company has been thrilling children in the UK for over three years and
recently returned from a successful tour of the USA and Canada. A lively show for children 3 and
up, it is full of fun, feathers, laughter and excitement, featuring original music and lots of
audience participation!

Mr Willems was a writer and animator for Sesame Street and also created The Cartoon Network's
hit shows Sheep in the Big City and Codename: Kids Next Door. Three of his books have been
awarded the Caldecott Honor for distinguished American picture books for children: Don't Let
the Pigeon Drive the Bus! (2004), Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Tale (2005), and Knuffle Bunny
Too: A Case of Mistaken Identity (2008). An animated short of Don't Let The Pigeon Drive the
Bus! was also awarded the Carnegie Medal for excellence in children's video in 2010.

MERCEDES-BENZ FAMILY DAY
Limited RM188 family packages will be available for the performance on Sunday, 5 October at
2pm in conjunction with the Mercedes-Benz MobileKids campaign for road safety. There will also
be a MobileKids activity station and exhibition at The School enrichment mall next door from 30
September - 12 October.
A.I.S.M. ARTS OUTREACH
The Australian International School of Malaysia will be sponsoring RM50 seats for the
performance on Saturday, 18 October at 2pm. Free storytelling sessions will be held after the
show.

Big Wooden Horse was founded by artistic director Adam Bampton-Smith in 2004 with the aim of
producing high-quality theatre for younger audiences across the United Kingdom and to represent
the best of British theatre craft abroad. The company first visited Malaysia earlier this year with
its stage adaptation of Oliver Jeffers' Stuck. Other productions include The Legend of Perseus,
The Night Before Christmas, The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus, The Way Back Home
and Aliens Love Underpants, which is currently playing in the West End.
