Box of Tricks announces full casting for their forthcoming tour of their sold-out 2016 production of Becky Prestwich's nostalgic tale of love over fish and chips with a side order of some Northern soul - Chip Shop Chips.
The production cast will feature Josh Moran (King Lear and The Merry Wives, Northern Broadsides and most recently appearing in the hit BBC series Gunpowder and Peter Kay's Car Share) as Eric, Julie Edwards (Brief Encounters at Bradford Interchange, Freedom Studios) as Christine, Jessica Forrest (Hollyoaks and Coronation Street) as Jasmine and Mark Newsome (Early Doors, Not Too Tame Theatre) as Lee.
Chip Shop Chips is directed by Box of Tricks' Joint Artistic Director and co-founder Adam Quayle (Plastic Figurines, Box of Tricks) and is designed by award-winning designer Katie Scott (Narvik and Plastic Figurines, Box of Tricks and Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse Studio Design Prize).
Performed in unusual spaces, Chip Shop Chips is an immersive love story set to a soundtrack of Northern Soul and served with a fish and chip supper. This is theatre, but not as you know it: dinner, quiz and a show all rolled into one!
Manchester based Box of Trick's previous productions include the acclaimd Narvik by Lizzie Nunnery and Plastic Figurines by Ella Carmen Greenhill.
The production will open at The Dukes Lancaster from the 23-24 February and then tour till the 21 April.
