Relentless gigger Frank Turner is bringing his Sleeping Souls to Parr Hall in December as part of a 20-date tour.

This latest outing will cap off another busy year for the folk singer-songwriter who has spent most of 2016 performing at festivals and touring Europe, playing to more than a quarter of a million people since January.

For the upcoming Get Better Tour, which goes on sale on Friday, Turner has teamed up with Plus 1 so that £1 from every ticket sale goes to War Child, a charity which supports children and families affected by conflict.

Turner said: "I'm very happy to be working with Plus 1 on this tour. It feels right to use part of what I do to support such a good cause."

2016 marks the record-breaking tenth consecutive year Frank Turner has performed at Reading and Leeds Festival, where he opened as special guest on the Main Stage.

Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls will head to the US in September and October for their fourth run of dates there this year before returning home for the Get Better Tour, named after a track from his 2015 album Positive Songs for Negative People.

Tickets go on sale on Friday 2 September with pre-sale available to those who can't wait, from 9am on Wednesday 31 August via Gigs and Tours, and See Tickets.
