On the Lyceum Stage from Thursday 10 - Saturday 12 October, Room on the Broom has been adapted and produced for the stage by Julia Donaldson MBE and Axel Scheffler (creators of The Gruffulo), and tells the spellbinding story of a witch and her cat as they struggle to retrieve their belongings after a blustering storm. With their helpful animal friends, and the not-so helpful hungry dragon, joining them along the way, the story unfolds dramatically with charm and adventure. Originally a best-selling children's book, Room on the Broom is filled with high spirited fun for children of all ages to enjoy.
Later this month, Dinosaur Zoo roars into town bringing pre-historic creatures to the stage in a way never seen before. With a host of Jurassic giants for the audience to interact with, this highly imaginative live show uses ingenious puppetry to bring dinosaurs to life. Originally heralding from Australia, this extraordinary production excites audiences with a popular mix of entertaining humour, adventurous daring and informative learning, introducing dinosaurs large and small, including the recently discoveredAustralovenator (a dinosaur of similar size and scariness to the T-Rex!). On stage on Friday 18 and Saturday 19 October, Dinosaur Zoo is an experience of epic proportions.
