Exeter Northcott Theatre has announced that celebrated actor John Nettles will join Exeter Northcott Theatre's new artistic and executive director, Paul Jepson, on stage in the first of an In Conversation series on 28 June.
This special evening is a fundraising event in aid of the theatre. A charity since 2013, these fundraising events will help Exeter Northcott Theatre to deliver its vibrant creative programme for its city and region.
Best known to many for his starring roles in the much loved television dramas Bergerac and Midsomer Murders, John Nettles started his acting career in repertory at Exeter Northcott Theatre right at the start of the theatre's first producing heyday. Appointed as Artistic & Executive director in January 2015 Paul Jepson has unveiled ambitious and exciting plans to return Exeter Northcott to producing its own work. An experienced and award-winning director, writer and dramaturg, Paul has an extensive background in the performing arts. He has been joint Artistic Director of two Arts Council funded new writing theatre companies and an associate of the Nottingham Playhouse. He has also directed at the Royal National Theatre, major regional theatres and in the West End, and has over twenty years of extensive public sector producing experience.Videos
