The film's Director Bruce Webb said "I'm extremely happy that we will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of Be All and End All with a screening in Liverpool to support Clapperboard UK. I'm very proud of this film that helped to launch my career and that of other's who helped produce it, including film students from LJMU. Making it in Liverpool was a very special experience and I couldn't have done it without the help and support of so many people, some who are now lifelong friends and I would love to return to make another!"
A Question and Answer discussion with Director Bruce Webb and Actor Josh Bolt will take place before the screening.
The charity fundraiser takes place on Wednesday 16th May, 6pm. Tickets are £12 which include a complementary drink and food at Frederik's, Hope Street, and can be bought directly from FACT Picturehouse, 88 Wood Street, L1 4DQ or online at www.picturehouses.com
Mind our Mate short film project begins in May 2018 with funding support from PH Holt and Creative Skillset. The themes will cover Mate Crime, a newly identified problem affecting vulnerable people online who may be manipulated by 'false friends' either via online or real-life relationships.
The project will also cover issues around identity, community, global media and social networks, whilst exploring youth relationship, roles and responsibilities with regard to social networking address questions such as 'who am I?' and 'what should we do!?'.
The educational film content will also guide and signpost other vulnerable people to further mental health support.
ClapperboardUK has won many awards for its inclusive innovative educational films and has an outstanding track record for helping many of its volunteers and participants progress into the creative industries.
Claire Poyser, MD of Lime Pictures (producers of Hollyoaks) said "Lime Pictures has always been a proud supporter of Clapperboard UK and the work that they do to encourage young people in the film and TV industry. Their latest project is a valuable way to raise awareness of mental health whilst developing a passion for film making in young people living with such conditions.
