The improvisation musical troupe are back at Edinburgh this year and packing out the hall.

The cast are as good as ever, but if you want to make sure you see them at their magnificent best maybe you should avoid the shows where they have a special guest star. Tuesday's matinee welcomed Nicholas Parsons, who promptly took up much of the stage time with regurgitating his memoirs and plugging his show.

Our brave performers cast battled on courageously, producing such gems as "A Wife To The Left (And A Wife To The Right)" in the style of the Rocky Horror Show, but I suspect that won't have been a satisfying overall performance for anyone. Except maybe Nicholas Parsons.
