1957, London. Derek is a skilled photographer, very down on his luck. A mysterious envelope drops through the letter box of his bedsit - a stranger asking him to take secret pictures of an elegant young woman as she walks in Holland Park... The reward is handsome.

But the irresistible assignment takes a sudden, shocking turn. Entangled, and compelled to understand, Derek's is led to a seedy Soho night-life populated by dubious characters. What do the Irish comedian, Russian conjuror, and American saxophone player have to do with the shooting? Derek finds his whole outlook on life is challenged by what he discovers.

Bloodshot returns to the St. James Studio following an initial performance in the studio's first play week in 2012. The production premiered at the Nuffield Theatre, Southampton, in 2010, and has since toured the UK and opened the 2011/12 season at Vienna's English Theatre where it played for six weeks to sold out houses.
