Following performances on The Late Show with David Letterman and Live at the Apollo, hit tours of Australia, New Zealand and North America; one of Scotland's biggest comedy exports, Danny Bhoy, brings his internationally renowned Gaelic charm back to Scotland from today, 12th September.
In a slight departure from his traditional stand up, this show revolves around a handful of 'feedback' letters Danny penned out of frustration. It's a show about all those little annoyances - too frivolous to be a cause, too inconsequential to be a campaign, but just about right for a stand-up with too much time on his hands..
Danny commented: "A few years back, I launched a campaign (wrote some letters) which successfully saw the return of Roast Beef Monster Munch to our supermarket shelves. You're welcome. This is a loosely-based stand up which revolves around some similarly heroic work."
Gaining praise across the world, Danny's appearances at the Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival won him rave reviews and a nomination for the Gemini Award for Best Individual Comedy Performance, whilst in the US he had the honour of recording an highly coveted 1-hour Comedy Central Special. This side of the pond Danny has worked his way up from a modest 60-seater at the Edinburgh Fringe back in 2001 to recently performing at the prestigious Festival Theatre in Edinburgh to a sell-out crowd. That show was also recorded for a much-anticipated UK DVD, due for release 26th November.
