Dance Meets Science in 8 MINUTES at The Point

Alexander Whitley Dance Company presents 8 Minutes at The Point on Wednesday 14th March; a unique new show made in collaboration with scientists from STFC RAL Space.

Acclaimed choreographer Alexander Whitley takes inspiration from solar science research and its stunning imagery to present 8 Minutes, a visually-arresting dance work suitable for all ages. Dance, film and music take us on a journey through the universe, revealing the drama of the burning ball of plasma that illuminates our planet, exploring the numerous ways in which we relate to our home star.

The company worked closely with RAL Space - a research facility which carries out world-class space research and technology development - to make the show. With a specially commissioned image installation by visual artist Tal Rosner and original music scored by the innovative Daniel Wohl, 8 Minutes is a collaborative new dance production that is simply unmissable.
