Apollo Digital, by arrangement with the Royal Albert Hall, presents a three-date tour of Danny Elfman's Music from the Films of Tim Burton, which celebrates the extraordinary collaboration between the acclaimed composer and visionary filmmaker. The world premiere of the event at the Royal Albert Hall is today 7 October 2013, which has already sold out, will be followed by dates in Leeds, Glasgow and Birmingham on 8, 9 and 10 October respectively.
This brand new orchestra event features Danny Elfman's famous film scores brought to life on stage by the BBC Concert Orchestra under the baton of John Mauceri, and enhanced by visuals on the big screen of Tim Burton's original film sketches, drawings and story boards. Celebrating the nearly three decade-long partnership of two of Hollywood's top creators, this event features films from a fascinating back catalogue of classics such as Beetlejuice,Batman & Batman Returns, Edward Scissorhands, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory andAlice in Wonderland. Danny Elfman's Music from the Films of Tim Burton explores the collaborative relationship between music and storytelling and the process and importance that it has in filmmaking.
