Established crime writer AA Abbott, real name Helen Blenkinsop, will be launching her brand-new gripping crime thriller THE REVENGE TRAIL in Birmingham on Monday 1 October 2018, marking the start of National Dyslexia Awareness Week.
THE REVENGE TRAIL is the fourth book in Helen's popular 'Trail' series which sees most of the action taking place in and around Birmingham including city centre pub the Craven Arms, Edgbaston Reservoir, Digbeth, and St Paul's Square in the city's famous Jewellery Quarter.
THE REVENGE TRAIL sees Brummie Marty Bridges (who loves his Two Towers beer) become rich selling vodka, but he faces ruin when he finds poison in his supplies. Glamorous Kat White can save his business - but she's the last person Marty wants to trust.
Meanwhile, Shaun Halloran, the London crime boss jailed through Kat's evidence, is still determined to escape from Belmarsh prison and kill the beautiful blonde - slowly.
Kat, besotted with Marty's son, Tim, treads a tightrope between her relationship and her plans to make the best vodka in the world. Can she keep her dreams alive - or is it enough just to keep her life?
Helen says "I'm very excited to be launching the fourth book in the popular 'Trail' series in Birmingham. I spent twenty years living and working in the city where I studied and met my husband. I love it. It's a vibrant and exciting place to live so it seems fitting to base my stories and characters here."
Helen's books are available in e-book and paperback on Amazon, who have recently seen a 5% overall increase in print editions.
Further statistics show that 10% of adults are dyslexic and traditional publishers won't print books for them. Helen is self-publishing and although she is not dyslexic, many of her relatives are, which is why she has also made her crime thrillers available in a large print, dyslexia-friendly format.
Helen continued "I'm so pleased that I can get to launch The Revenge Trail during National Dyslexia Awareness Week. This can only help to highlight the need for a more dyslexia-friendly format to cater for all readers."
National Dyslexia Awareness Week (DAW) takes place from Monday 1-Sunday 7 October 2018 and provides the opportunity to raise awareness and understanding of dyslexia and help to bring about positive change. World Dyslexia Awareness Day takes place on Thursday 4 October.
The Revenge Trail provides the perfect read for those who like a fast-paced crime thriller combined with suspense, humour and plot twists. Ideal for those autumn-winter nights in! It will be available to order on e-book and Amazon from Monday 1 October 2018.
