Conrad Lynch Joins Ambassador Theatre Group

Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG) has today announced that Conrad Lynch is joining ATG's producing team.

In his new role, Conrad will work as a Producer with ATG's Howard Panter (Joint Chief Executive and Creative Director), Adam Speers (Executive Producer) and EvAnna White(Producer) in the development and production of musicals and plays in London, on tour in the UK and overseas. Conrad will be based at ATG's Charing Cross Road offices and will commence work in August 2013.

Conrad is currently Artistic Director of Wales Millennium Centre, where he is leading the company's development of work as a producer, as well as a presenter, and has just secured a major National Touring Grant from Arts Council Wales to co-produce I'm With the Band by Tim Price with The Traverse Theatre in Summer 2013 as part of the British Council Showcase, the production will then tour the UK after it's Edinburgh run.

Prior to this, he was Executive Producer for Shakespeare's Globe where he headed the company's development into National and International touring, including the large scale tours of Anne Boleyn (Winner of the 2012 Theatre UK Award for Best Touring Production, in co-production with ETT), The Merry Wives of Windsor (UK and USA) and Love's Labour's Lost (USA). Shakespeare's Globe also won the Renee Stepham Award for the Best Presentation of Touring Theatre in 2011.

Conrad Lynch, Producer, said, "I'm thrilled to be joining the ATG team at this exciting time of expansion and am looking forward to creating some great work for audiences in the West End, across the UK and further afield."

Mathew Milsom, Managing Director of Wales Millennium Centre, added "As our Artistic Director Conrad has made a considerable contribution to the Centre's development as a producer of new work, as well as a presenter of large scale productions. He has also brought a new artistic direction to the Centre and we have undoubtedly benefited from his UK and international contacts, which have placed us in a much stronger position moving forward. We wish him well in this next stage in his career as a Producer for ATG."

Howard Panter said, "I am delighted that Conrad is joining the ATG family this summer. With his excellent credentials and unparalleled experience within the industry, Conrad's appointment is testament to ATG's continued commitment to strengthening the creative output of our Producer team. I am excited that he has decided to work with us, and I am looking forward to developing productions with him enormously."

Conrad was previously Executive Director of Salisbury Playhouse produced a wide range of productions including the UK premiere of Playing For Time by Arthur Miller and the regional premiere of Tom Stoppard's The Invention of Love.

As a freelance producer Conrad has most recently co-produced Joe Orton's Entertaining Mr Sloane at Trafalgar Studios and the Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse national tour ofYellowman by Dael Orlandersmith, both with Rachel Tackley.
