The latest event in the campaign to restore one of Liverpool's most historic churches will see a host of singers raising the roof in song at the same time as raising money for vital repairs.
St Bride's Church, one of the architectural jewels of the city's Georgian Quarter, is holding a special ChoirFest and Summer Fair next weekend.
The event on Saturday 22 July is the latest in the Save Our St Bride's campaign. Last month organisers put on a hugely-successful A Night at the Musicals at the Percy Street church.
At least eight local choirs will take part in what is expected to be a hotly-fought but friendly competition for three separate trophies, with choruses performing both inside the church and outside on the impressive front pillared steps.
The afternoon, which runs from 1-4pm, will also include a 'bake-off' competition judged by Claire Southern of Claire Southern Macarons, and organisers are looking for budding Mary Berrys to bring along their baked extravaganzas which will be judged and then cut in to slices and sold off to help the fundraising campaign.
The winner will also receive a trophy and be crowned St Bride's Bake Off Champion 2017.
Visitors will be able to enjoy all the fun of a traditional summer fair during the afternoon, with stalls, games and face painting all on offer.
St Bride's is in urgent need of repairs, and is on the English Heritage 'at risk' register. Church leaders have recently launched a Reimagining St Bride's initiative to completely refurbish the 188-year-old place of worship.
Following the success of last month's musicals night, An Evening at the Opera fundraising night is now being planned for October.
Emma Dears, who launched the Save Our St Bride's campaign, said: "ChoirFest and the Summer Fair is going to be a great, fun family day out. The most important thing for me is that it's about having fun. We don't want the competition to be too competitive! It's a celebration of the choirs, singing, the church and community.
"All the money raised will go to St Bride's and will help to sustain the wonderful work it does within the community.
"I'm hoping this will become an annual event, and that this is just the first ChoirFest and Summer Fair of many."
