Doctor Faustus, written by Christopher Marlowe, is the timeless tale of a man who is prepared to sell his soul to the devil in return for incredible power. Desperate to learn the secrets of the universe, the scholar Faustus rejects his studies and instead turns to the black arts to discover hidden truths, but it's a deal that will prove his undoing.
Having exchanged his soul for 24 years of complete liberty to do whatever he chooses, becoming both renowned and admired for his skills and his knowledge as a result, Doctor Faustus finds that the pact cannot be escaped, and the devil will have his due.
'The stars move still, time runs, the clock will strike.'
Combining incredible magical effects with the company's renowned energy, courage and passion, Chickenshed brings Marlowe's sublime play to the stage in what promises to be a fiendishly great production...
