Casting Announced For Storyhouse's THE WIZARD OF OZ

Storyhouse in Chester has announced the cast for The Wizard of Oz taking place at the multi-award-winning venue this Christmas.

Opening 7 December until 6 January the production will be staged at Chester's theatre, cinema and library.

Storyhouse's artistic director Alex Clifton will direct the RSC production of the classic MGM motion picture.

The Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum, adapted by John Kane for the Royal Shakespeare Company. Music and lyrics by Harold Arlen and E Y Harburg, directed by Alex Clifton, dance and vocal arrangement by Herbert Stothart and orchestration by Larry Wilcox. Storyhouse's production will be designed by James Perkins (Sweet Charity, The Royal Exchange, Manchester), musical direction by Alex Beetschen, choreography by Carl Parris, sound design by Chris Bogg and lighting design by Prema Mehta.
