Stuart Saint's ground-breaking interdisciplinary Princess, which opens at the LOST Theatre in November, is proud to announce their cast.

This new piece is inspired by our twisted relationship with the "princess" - shattering the illusion of happily-ever-afters, banishing the storybook fairytale and finding the feminism in Disney.

The production runs November 15th - 19th 2016 at LOST Theatre. Press Night: November 16th 2016, 7.30pm.

The cast includes Jennie Dickie (London Olympics Opening Ceremony; London and European tours of Physical/Still by Gary Lambert), Morgan Scott (Let's Dance Again at Royal Festival Hall; Loserville at the Union Theatre), Joanne Pollitt-Evans (Triwizard Rally Show at Universal Studios Hollywood; San Pedro Festival of the Arts with MKM Dance Co.), Helen Scott (runs The Hustle; The Sun's Facebook Live host) Naomi Peaston (Artism Act 2 with Exzeb Dance Company; Murder by Magic on ITV; The Nutcracker with New English Contemporary Ballet Company), Carrie-Louise Knight (Me and My Girl and My Fair Lady in the West End), Travis Sumner (Intoto Dance Company) and Onyemachi Ejimofor (The Lion King on UK Tour; International Dance Festival in Birmingham).

Alongside writer/director/choreographer Stuart Saint, resident choreographers Lana Avis (The Royal Variety Show; ZooNation Dance Company) and Gwen Jones (Northern Soul for Universal Pictures; I We Collective for 7 Days 7 Causes, Lisbon) will be helping create the show.

Because the once pristine and weak-willed princess can now be a kick-ass Ghostbuster or a magical Snow Queen - our world is moving away from the helpless damsel in distress expected to suffer and serve and await to be rescued, and yet it's at the heart of many a sexual moré. In Princess, Saint creates a lavish spectacle of movement and expression, gig theatre that blends music, dance and video into a new story of good girls gone bad.

All of these elements combine in Saint's work to create, in Princess, a unique brand of gig theatre, bringing adult themes, dancers and performers that break the traditional mould of today's global monoculture, to entertain through energetically crafted dance, original song and resurrected video.
