Full casting has been announced for the comic retelling of the classic Sherlock tale, Hound of The Baskervilles, coming to the Barn Theatre, Cirencester from 24th October - 24th November 2018.
Three talented performers will be playing the fourteen roles, including recent Bristol Old Vic graduate Herb Cuanalo (Arthur Phillip - Our Country's Good - Redgrave Theatre, Our Town - Circomedia, Dennis in Mike Bartlett's 13 - The Tobacco Factory), Hywel Dowsell (Mack and Mabel - Hackney Empire, Teihutu in Honeymoon In Vegas - London Palladium, Snug in A Midsummer Night's Dream UK and overseas tour) and Dominic Brewer (Timon - The Lion King UK Tour, Dracula - TNT Theatre European Tour)
Written by John Nicholson and Steven Canny for the hit comedy team Peepolykus, this version premiered at the West Yorkshire Playhouse, Leeds, UK in 2007, where it broke box-office records, before touring the UK and transferring to the West End.
Joseph O'Malley directs this side-splitting parody of the classic Sherlock tale Hound of The Baskervilles, produced by the Barn Theatre.
Actor 1: Herb Cuanalo - Holmes, Stapleton, Cecille Stapleton, Mr Barrymore, Mrs Barrymore and Yokel 3 Herb graduated in 2017 from the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. With a Mexican/Barbadian heritage, he is an intelligent, versatile, imaginative actor with a talent for improvisation and physical transformation. Credits include Capt. Arthur Phillip - Our Country's Good (Redgrave Theatre), Our Town (Circomedia); Dennis in Mike Bartlett's 13 (The Tobacco Factory).
Actor 2: Hywel Dowsell - Watson and Yokel 1 Hywel trained at the Guildford School of Acting and since graduating, he has performed on tour, overseas and in London's West End. Hywel's theatre credits include: Mack and Mabel (Hackney Empire), Teihutu in Honeymoon In Vegas (London Palladium), Snug in A Midsummer Night's Dream (UK and overseas tour). Hywel also works as a session singer and concert soloist and has performed with the BBC Concert Orchestra and the London Musical Theatre Orchestra.
Actor 3: Dominic Brewer - Sir Charles Baskerville, Sir Henry Baskerville, Mortimer, Cabbie, Yokel 2 and Wise Yokel Dominic trained at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic art. His extensive theatre credits include Timon - The Lion King (UK Tour), Dracula - TNT Theatre (European Tour).

When Sir Charles Baskerville is found dead on his estate, with a look of terror still etched on his face, and the paw prints of a gigantic hound beside his body, the great detective Sherlock Holmes is summoned from Baker Street, with Dr Watson in tow, to unravel the mysteries surrounding his death, and investigate the ancient curse of the Hound of the Baskervilles.
