Journey with Pip through a modern Dickensian England meeting some of the most elaborate characters in literature.
See the characters of Charles Dickens' penultimate thirteenth novel brought to life by a captivating group of actor/musicians exploring the timeless clash between wealth and poverty, and how evil can be overpowered by good, tonight 26 September at Carriageworks Theatre, Leeds. Lovers of the book or film adaptations will have a chance to meet characters such as Pip and Estella face-to-face and become a part of their tale.
Blacksmith's boy Pip is transformed into a London gentleman with the aid of a mysterious benefactor. But even as Pip's fortunes rise, he is haunted by his love for the beautiful, unattainable Estella whom he visited at Miss Havisham's house as a child.
