After a sell-out run last Christmas award-winning comedy trio Sleeping Trees is returning to Theatre503 this December. Directed by critically-acclaimed Tom Attenborough, CINDERELLA AND THE BEANSTALK, a three-man pantomime with a twist, combines the classic elements of a well-loved pantomime with an astonishing range of fast paced, physical and bare-knuckled comedy. The production runs tonight 25th November 2015 - Saturday 2nd January 2016. Press night is Friday 27th November 2015 at 7.45 p.m.

Sleeping Trees have booked the venue. They've bought the costumes. But, there's just one problem. They've forgotten to cast any actors. These boys aren't the kind of people to let an obstacle like this get in the way so they're just going to have to play all the parts themselves.

James Dunnell-Smith, Joshua George Smith and John Woodburn jump from character to character with a seemingly unnatural elasticity. It's got a lot to do with relish, which they employ liberally, but they also come from a tradition of anarchic buffoonery that's underpinned by a militantly controlled skill (Time Out).

Fresh from Edinburgh Fringe success with their shows Mafia? and Western?, Sleeping Trees are known for their stripped back aesthetics, employing a comic and cut-and-paste approach to the creative demolition of well-loved stories, books and film genres.

Join these three performers as they sing, dance and fight their way through panto- pandemonium, using an amazingly versatile set with maximum impact. Fast paced, fun and frantically hilarious, Sleeping Tree's Christmas show is just the ticket to have you smiling like a kid again! (West End Wilma).

A glorious cocktail of everyone's favourite pantomimes, this is a panto for children that adults love and a panto for adults that children love. Follow Cinderella on a perilous adventure as the scheming Rumpelstiltskin blackmails the would-be princess to retrieve the coveted golden eggs from the top of the beanstalk in order to recover her glass slipper. But with Prince Charming, the Fairy Godmother and Jack's pregnant cow all doing their best to get in the way, the delicious, oversized eggs may not be so easy to reach.

The company says, "We are extremely excited to be returning to Theatre503, now as Associate Artists of the venue, with CINDERELLA AND THE BEANSTALK. We were delighted with the response the show got from audiences last Christmas, in particular seeing children engage so enthusiastically with the show and theatre in general. We can't wait to climb back into our onesies and get going again. We've got some time in the studio set up so we can make this year's show even bigger and better than before. So hang on to your popcorn, because the theatre doesn't like it if you make a mess!"

Sleeping Trees are now an associate company of Theatre503.
