CARNIVAL OF CROWS Revamped, Reimagined And Resurrected For Vault Festival 2019 Image

Award winning production Carnival of Crows is getting a revamp, a remount and a reimagining, and is hitting the cobbles of The VAULTS Festival this year. Having won the Best Actress award, and been nominated for Best Play and Best Moment in the Fringe by Dark Chat at Edinburgh 2012, Molly Beth Morossa presents their darkly comic series of interlinking stories and poems, Carnival Of Crows. Its first incarnation was shortlisted for Les Enfants Terribles Award 2012.

"A great team we made, Edward, Virginia and me. Bound together with love and hate and need and spite. Like a real family. And we worked the carnival."

Join Poppy as she shares her memories of the dark Victorian underworld of carnival sideshows. Meet The Laudanum Sisters and their twisted boss and head showman Edward B. Friday and delve into his menagerie of misfits, amusements and oddities. Secrets are unearthed as Poppy's charming, yet disturbing, tales lead us on a spiralling journey of horror and suspense. Carnival of Crows is a remarkable solo-show where there are no happy endings.

Molly Beth Morossa is an award-winning writer, theatre maker and cabaret performer. She is a veteran performer at the Vaults having just finished working with Shotgun Carousel on their five star, debut theatrical dining experience DIVINE PROPORTIONS. She also performed with Chivaree Circus in BECOMING SHADES at VAULT Festival, 2018 (winner - Innovation Award, VAULT Festival 2018) as well as completing a sold out run of her solo show GREYWING HOUSE at VAULT Festival 2017 (Winner - Festival Spirit Award, VAULT Festival 2017). She has appeared alongside Olivier Award winning showman Marisa Carnesky in DR CARNESKY'S INCREDIBLE BLEEDING WOMAN (Soho Theatre 2017-2018), as well as being a firm fixture of the London cabaret scene. Morossa was crowned Miss Ghostwood in the Miss Twin Peaks Contest 2018, and has also just been the co-recipient of the Audio Verse Best Writers Award for Comedic Production for her work on podcast sitcom WOODEN OVERCOATS.
