Borderline Confrontational Premieres New Greek Tragedy GLORIOUS, BUT BRIEF Image

Borderline Confrontational presents Glorious, but Brief, written and directed by Amelia Sciandra.

With a cast of actors hailing from five countries on three continents, Glorious, but Brief is a retelling of the Trojan War myth through the lens of a love story between the great warrior Achilles and his close companion Patroclus. An LGBTQ love story for the ages, this is a legend as you've never seen it.

The Trojan War is about to begin. As Agamemnon and Odysseus rally Greek forces to avenge Troy's kidnapping of Helen, teenage Achilles is desperate to take part. Hidden away on a far off island, he is torn between his blood's cry for glory and his newfound love for Patroclus, an orphan boy raised with him. Ten years later on the battlefield at Troy, Achilles and Patroclus face new challenges as their love for each other becomes the driving force between life and death.

Written and directed by Amelia Sciandra with an all-female production team, a vengeful goddess, a proud general, war slaves, cruel princesses and manipulative kings meet in the world premiere of this new Greek tragedy.
